Email Types
- Regular - For one-off emails, such as a newsletter. This would be a manual send, which can be sent instantly, or scheduled to send.
- Automated - You'll probably be using these the most. These emails are used in workflows.
- Blog/RSS - This will be used if you're planning to move your blog over to HubSpot.
Creating emails
To create an email, use the drag and drop editor to add modules to your email, including text, images, buttons, etc. You can add or subtract the number of columns/ sections in your email.
You can link a button to a CTA (which is making the button a CTA, rather than a standard button) which can be saved to your CTA library and collect data based on who's clicking on that CTA button.
Using personalization tokens in emails
Personalization tokens are a HubSpot feature that can be used to personalize the content specific to who is viewing the email. (ex: "Hi, {Contact: First Name} can be used to address the specific viewer in the intro). Use these to increase engagement rates.
Sending a test email
You can send yourself a test email before officially sending out the email. By doing this, you can see what the person is seeing on the receiving end. This will help you catch personalization token errors and grammatical inconsistencies.
